Community Service Event: Monthly Reusable Bag Making Day

What: We will be making reusable shopping bags (adult and children's) and feed & seed bags. No sewing experience is necessary. Donated fabric is welcomed, especially children's fabric. We have lots of unwashed feed & seed sacks right now but periodically welcome them especially unusual ones like rabbit, pig, llama, etc. We do not use dog or cat sacks because they cannot be washed enough to remove the oils.

We'll Bring: The raw materials, a couple of sewing machines, some notions, and coffee.

You Bring: Your favorite bag-making notions, scissors, a cutting board/rotary cutter, and a sewing machine. Water bottle, tableware & plate or bowl, and something to share for lunch - small bites, a salad, soup, bread, fruit, dessert. RSVP whether you'll bring food, but come regardless.

Bag kits: We have cloth and feed & seed bag kits cut and ready to sew if you prefer to work at home.
